Logbook Service

At The Best Mechanics we provide professional logbook services. Our software allows us to give instant quotes with a full breakdown of costs, service schedule inclusions and required parts for all vehicles sold in Australia. We can carry out this work onsite at your home or workplace. In the very rare case that an inclusion such as a complicated timing belt can't be done on-site, we will take your vehicle back to our workshop and deliver it back when complete at no extra cost.

Rest assured that when carrying out your Logbook service with The Best Mechanics your manufactures warranty will not be affected as we only use genuine or OE standard parts and lubricants.

Information supporting this can be found on the ACCC website www.accc.gov.au

Diagnostic Scanning

Thankfully, modern vehicles are fitted with an on-board diagnostic system that warns the driver when a fault is present in their engine management system.

As there can be hundreds of reasons for a warning light to illuminate, it is necessary for the vehicle to be hooked up to a diagnostic scan tool so that the fault can be interpreted and diagnosed.

At The Best Mechanics we have the latest, state of the art diagnostic equipment that can run full scans on all modules such as the Engine, Transmission, Air Bag, ABS and countless other modules giving full descriptions of any stored or current faults.

Once interpreted you will be given a clear direction of the necessary action required to fix your vehicle.

In some cases, you may be lucky enough to just clear these errors and be on your way.

02

Car repair and Maintenance

Regular car service and maintenance is an important part of keeping your vehicle running at its optimum. This will make you aware or any current problems and prevent future damage to your vehicle.

Naturally, it's advisable to service as per the manufactures scheduling as components are replaced periodically. In some cases where it is not possible general servicing is a way of servicing your vehicle to ensure that you and your family are safe.

It includes a full vehicle safety inspection and report along with the engine oil and filter replacement.

It also covers important adjustments and lubrication where applicable. General servicing is a more affordable way of servicing vehicles that are no longer covered by Warranty or the cost of Logbook servicing is impracticable.

05

Brakes and Suspension

As brakes are the components that stop your car, we rate them as one of the most important parts.

Brakes are made up of disc rotors, brake pads a hydraulic system and, in some cases, shoes and drums.

Over time, and due to a range of driving conditions, these components will wear out. The hydraulic braking fluid can deteriorate causing moisture to accumulate which will in turn hugely decrease the braking efficiency.

The steering and suspension of your vehicle is equally important. When it comes to the safety of how your vehicle stops, handles and rides it's definitely worth having it checked if anyone of these factors doesn't feel right.

Things to look out for with your braking system are knocking, shuddering, grinding, clunking and poor pedal performance when braking.

Issues relating to steering and suspension will be evident through the vehicles handling whilst cornering, braking and traveling on uneven road services.

03

Air Conditioning

Although you may not realise a correctly functioning air conditioning system is just as important in the Winter as it is in the Summer.

By turning on the A/C with the heater it actually dehumidifies the cabin allowing you windows to defog much quicker than normally.

We perform air conditioning diagnosis, repairs and maintenance on all vehicle makes and models using 134A Refrigerant (This covers most vehicles in Australia)

If your air conditioning is no longer cooling a diagnostic check can be booked to identify the cause and repair it.

We also carry out periodic A/C servicing which will ensure the system is constantly running at its optimum performance.

06

We know that these vehicles need to be on the road with minimal to no down time.

For this reason, we run special circumstances for fleet vehicles.

We can arrange unique hours that these vehicles are maintained so that they are available for use when your staff need them most.

In most cases Fleet prices are applicable.

With the ease of our online booking system and flexible service times, it should make it a breeze to organise the maintenance of your company fleet vehicles.
